Our pastor is Tim Bushong. Tim spent many years in Christian music ministry, then 11 years as one of the founders and pastors at Trinity Evangelical Church in Larwill, Indiana. Tim has been married to his wife Heidi for 41 years, and they have 3 children, and 5 grandchildren. He is a lifetime resident of Syracuse, and refers to this Northern Lakes region of Indiana as “The Shire,” where your neighbors still wave, where ‘farmer‘ common sense still has a foothold, and where things are still relatively uncomplicated, relatively being the operative word…
Tim is "tri-vocational," as he is also a piano technician and a recording engineer and producer, but his main focus is on serving the Church. He reads history for fun, theology for wisdom, and the Bible for life. He also enjoys playing guitar, cutting and splitting firewood, and Heidi's cooking.
Matt Smith is our elder. Born and raised in Indiana, Matt joined the Navy at 18 and served out of Washington State, where he met his wife Brianna. After studying at The Master’s College in Los Angeles, CA, they moved back to Matt’s home in Indiana, now residing on the south side of Goshen. The Lord has blessed them with six children.
